Meditation and good guidance helped in career

I am Anoop Singh from a very small village in Sirsa, Haryana. Being a bright student up to 10th class, I had not even imagined that sailing through a non-medical branch in 11th and 12th is going to be the hell of my life. I was the first student in my village and among all my known relatives who took the decision to study with non-medical branch. I was totally unaware about career opportunities; guidance was not available for this particular field. I did not take my studies much seriously and maintained a carefree attitude in class and at home. I was misconceived that there is no need to study in non board (11th) class, I did not complete my routine homework and mere minimum studies. The result was very obvious and I was among the last ten ranks in class. I was expelled from the school where I have always been among top ranks. It was very humiliating and it stroked hard on my confidence. I took admission in another school and managed to score 64% marks during my 12th board exam. I believed that I had chosen a wrong field and did not even compete in engineering entrance examinations. I started preparing for the polytechnic exam with a thought of lesser competition. I started feeling a need for a guide and mentor to motivate me. At this tough time I started Pooja/worship everyday and also started meditation and chanting.
God helped me by sending a mentor, a friend who guided and motivated me to prepare for the Engineering Entrance Examination by a good institute at Kota. But by that time all admissions were closed and I was left with no choice but to wait to next year's admissions. Next year I took admission at Kota, worked very hard but I could not score good. I again lost interest in studies and left Kota, then I went to Bikaner and stayed with my friend who was preparing for Pre Medical Test and he was also struggling as I was. That year I did not take admission in any coaching institute and decided to do self study but could not stop my countless disturbing thoughts and ended up with a state rank 1141 in AIEEE, which was not enough to take admission in any good college. So I took admission in ITM (NCU) College Gurugram.
I realized that proper guidance, control over useless indefinite thoughts and hard work is utmost necessary to get success. I got good mentor, my lecturer Mr Suneel Pandey during college days who guided me to prepare for GATE and PSU exams. I also started meditating everyday for mental strength and to control my disturbing thoughts. Gathered all information about opportunities and options in my chosen field and started working hard to achieve my goal.
Daily meditation helped me a lot to concentrate in my studies and observed drastic improvement in my confidence. Four years of my college days are best days in my life, I met with some wonderful people, we brainstorm sitting together about career and prepare collectively for job. This strategy gave us good results and I got AIR 120 in GATE examination with my final year, started my masters from IIT Delhi, and also I got selected in a reputed public sector unit IOCL and APCPL Jhajjar. All my colleagues and juniors with whom I started preparation are also well settled and successful in their career. Thought about their success brings great joy and happiness to me. My story would not complete without mentioning the name of my boon companion Mr Satya, whenever I felt low I discussed with Satya (that time he was preparing for UPSC and now he is an Assistant Commissioner in EPFO) and he always get me motivated and guided me in my career. Currently I am working as a Deputy Manager in APCPL (NTPC JV), also I am running a school with my friend near my village for social up lift.
I am also working hard on a farming pilot project with a goal to improve productivity in farming and empower farmers to earn more than 5 lacs per acre per year. I have aim to educate farmers about technology for modern farming based on this project. I really appreciate the exceptional step taken by my senior Mr Dheer Singh, to guide each and every student and feel honored being a part of a his team.
