Hi
Greetings Vinod.
Let me tell you my academic story. I did B Tech in Mechanical Engineering from ISM Dhanbad (now IIT ISM Dhanbad) in year 2011. I did MA in PUblic Administration from SHekhawati university in 2017 and qualified NET in NOv 2017. So there is no issue in doing PG in Economics. I don't know from where you belong, but in my state minimum 55% is required in PG course with NET/SLET qualification to become eligible for college lecturer. You must fulfill that criteria. If you are doing any job and want to carry on your studies, you can get yourself admitted in IGNOU or VMOU (open universities). The advantage of selecting open universities is that they provide complete study material and flexibility of attending exam with extended years. The course material provided by open universities is even referred by IAS aspirants for preparing mains subjects. I have also done PG diploma in Disaster management from IGNOU.

If you have any other doubt, let me know by commenting on my answer.
